The Importance of Home Office Desks
Today I realize more than ever the importance of Home Office Desks. As I mentioned before, my desk is command central for my house. And lately it is overcome with paperwork, kids projects, papers, pencils, coffee cups … you name it.
Needless to say, the most beautiful and useful home office desks are rendered useless if the owner is not an organized individual. And while I consider myself to be more organized than most, the clutter sometimes takes hold and just doesn’t let go!
This time of year is especially difficult because my time is what is in short supply. I often say that the end of the school year is even busier than the December holidays. Between recitals, sports, games, finals, homework, Yikes!
So, here at Home Office Desks, I am thinking that I should explore world of keeping those desks organized. Productivity is important in any office and home offices are no different. It’s no wonder that the Getting Things Done philosophy has taken off! But sometimes all those productivity methods have a downside. When you spend more time organizing yourself and your home office desks, you actually have less time available to do things you want to do. So finding a balance and sticking with it is the key.
Once I get out from under the pile of papers that is threateningly teetering over the top of the file cabinet I will let you know what worked for me!
