eBook Readers Bring Organization to Home Office Desks

EBook Readers have become all the rage lately. While they have been around for awhile - the introduction of the Amazon Kindle has revived interest in a market that was faltering.

The Amazon Kindle and other eBook readers are of great interest because of their potential to bring organization to an otherwise cluttered space - home office desks.

Traditionally, home offices tend to be small workspaces that fill up easily. Electronics alone will take up the bulk of available desk space, not to mention office supplies and accessories. When you add reading materials to the mix - books, newspapers, and the like - things become very cluttered.

Imagine the possibility of eliminating all physical reading materials from home office desks. eBook readers have made this scenario a reality. The two top competitors in the industry - the Amazon Kindle and the Sony PRS-505 offer digital book readers that emulate real books. The look and feel of the screen are designed to minimize eyestrain and give the user an overall pleasant reading experience.

The advantage is that these little devices can hold the equivalent of many tomes. Subscriptions to major newspapers are also doable. This one little device can create a sense of organization on home office desks everywhere.

Fortunately, the Sony PRS-505 is on sale now using the following link:

Desk Lamps for the Home Office

Home office desks are not the only consideration when it comes to setting up a useful workspace in your house.

Naturally, you need a well proportioned desk and ergonomic seating for your office. Not only that, but a good supply of storage space is an absolute necessity. And no one needs to remind you about the need for computers, printers, and all the peripherals. These are the nuts and bolts that everyone considers. But it is the details that equally important but often treated as afterthoughts.

One such detail is desk lamps. Once you figure out the placement of your home office desks, you must consider what type of lighting will be appropriate for the task at hand. Overhead lighting is a good choice for a home office that is set up in a darker corner of a room or even in a spare bedroom. You may already have adequate overhead lighting but may feel that this is not enough. A tasteful yet useful desk lamp may also be in order.  Not only will you need to illuminate your workspace but  a lamp near your computer monitor can also relieve eyestrain. Incandescent light or soft white light is an excellent choice for home office desks but energy saving bulbs are better for the environment.

Once you have selected your home office furniture and set your work area up, complete with file cabinets, storage, and office supplies, examine the existing lighting and make a decision about the ideal home office lamp for your situation.
